Babar Azam receives ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.
He stood out among his peers, including Adam Zampa of Australia, Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe, and Shai Hope of the West Indies.
Throughout the year, Babar scored 679 runs in nine matches with an impressive average of 84.87.
He hit three centuries and crossed the fifty-plus mark eight times, converting three of those into centuries. His outstanding performance in the 50-over format earned him the recognition from the ICC, which stated in a media release,
"There were match-winning knocks, spellbinding stroke play, and memorable moments from a personal perspective and for his team in 2022 as Pakistan skipper Babar Azam claimed the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year Award for a second consecutive year.”
